In 2025, distributed solar is no longer just about panels and inverters - it’s about feeding trustworthy, standardized performance data directly into the digital platforms that finance, monitor, and control energy assets at scale. Soltell’s Smart Solar Measurement (SysMap) API V1.1 was built from the ground up for platform providers: Energy Finance platforms, SCADA vendors, EMS software suites, monitoring portals, and digital-twin environments that need to analyze thousands of solar sites without installing weather sensors on each site.

Watch the complete 2025 video tutorial above – a step-by-step live demo of Soltell’s Smart Solar Measurement (SysMap) API V1.1, fully aligned with the Orange Button Distributed Energy Resources (DER) open data exchange standard.

The embedded video above is the fastest way to see the entire integration flow in action. In one continuous live demo we authenticate, discover systems, stream real-time and historical production, deliver Orange Button–compliant technical availability and modeled energy, generate complete operating reports, and push predictive O&M alerts with localized explanations - all through clean, versioned REST endpoints.

At its core, SysMap V1.1 is a Sensorless technology-powered solar performance measurement service. Even when a site has no physical irradiance sensor or an intermittent logger uptime, the API returns energy and power values that are consistently within 96±2% of on-site measurements, plus a full loss breakdown and data-quality scoring. Because every field follows the latest Orange Button Distributed Energy Resources taxonomy, the data you ingest today is already in the exact format that utilities, regulators, and downstream analytics expect. Integration starts with a single client-credentials request. Your platform receives a bearer token, which you then attach to every subsequent call. Perfect for server-to-server communication. PV systems are addressed by immutable UUID. One metadata call returns static parameters your platform needs for mapping and display: DC capacity, AC capacity and more. Again, all in canonical Orange Button field names. Time-series data is delivered through a single, highly flexible endpoint. Specify start and end timestamps, desired interval (5 min, 15 min, hourly, daily), and exactly the fields you want - AC power, AC energy. By requesting only the fields your platform actually consumes, payloads stay small and parsing stays predictable, even when backfilling years of history across ten thousand sites.

For contractual reporting and performance guarantees, the Availability report endpoint supplies modeled AC energy under seasonal weather conditions and the resulting Technical Availability percentage, and, when defined, Contractual Availability in one call. The Operating report endpoint goes further: a single request returns a complete package that includes EPI and PPI Performance Ratios, Soiling Ratio and Energy Losses, and the full O&M Issue log in a relevant language - all ready to be stored, displayed, or forwarded to relevant endpoints without additional transformation.

O&M alerts - both acute and predictive - arrive with embedded severity, timestamps, recommended actions, as human-readable explanations that can be rendered instantly in English, German, Spanish, Italian, or any other language your users prefer. Two additional proprietary scores, Intactness (0–100% scale PV health metric) and Severity (current highest issue level), give your platform immediate health signals for traffic-light dashboards or automated workflows.

Because the entire payload is Orange Button–native, your SCADA, EMS, or finance platform can treat every enabled site exactly like a natively supported device. No more per-manufacturer parsers, no more mapping tables, no more “this fleet uses different field names again” tickets.

If you build or operate an Energy Finance, SCADA, or EMS platform and want to offer your customers instant access to Sensorless, standardized, Orange Button–compliant solar performance data, SysMap V1.1 is the integration you’ve been waiting for: Fill details to receive a demo  or contact us.
